TRAINING, EARLY CAREER, TODAY

The British singer Andrew Golder trained at the Royal College of Music and the RCM Opera School in London under Redvers Llewellyn and Ruth Packer where he was awarded a Scholarship for post-graduate opera studies and selected for master-classes with Dame Janet Bakeand later with Sir Geraint Evans. He later studied privately with baritone Raimund Herincx in London and gave his successful commissioned Purcell Room recital début.

Andrew Golder went on to enjoy a highly active recital and concert career while gaining valuable stage experience in many London West End productions including Sondheim's 'Sweeney Todd'  and Kurt Weill's 'Street Scene'

While still in post graduate studies at the RCM he created the rôle of David in contemporary composer Alan Detweiler's 'King Saul' to national press acclaim. Based in France in the 90's he then began his career as freelance opera soloist in 1995. Since then he has guested in opera and concert in France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Spain and had outstanding success with the more dramatic rôles in the baritone repertoire.
