Andrew Golder – Voiceover

In the mid 80’s singer and musician Andrew Golder started his work as narrator and voiceover artist voicing

documentaries and corporate videos in London’s Soho studios coincidently appearing on-stage in several successful

West End musicals such as 'Sweeney Todd' and 'The Phantom of the Opera'. Since then he’s amassed a large portfolio

of clients and his warm, rich and distinctive British baritone and his unique accent-free English has enhanced the image

of many of today’s leading brands, companies and institutions such as Chanel, Kodak, the Vienna Boys' Choir, Bank Austria,

CNBC, Dubai Mercantile, Mobilkom Austria and Telekom Austria.

 

Andrew voices important global environment messages for organisations such as the Worldwide Fund for Nature at

the Rio Summit, he recently collaborated on the moving and informative documentary Care for Children with Cancer

and a trailer for the important upcoming post-Copenhagen 2009 social and environmental documentary project, 

Green China Rising directed by Caroline Harrison and produced by Mandarin Film.

 

With over twenty years' successful experience behind him as a classical soloist singing opera roles and in concert, Andrew

continues his work across a wide spectrum of media and incorporates his musical training and experience in his voiceover

recording work. His precision timing and carefully judged modulation whether reading at sight or having had foresight of

the most complex of texts bringing the highest standards of consistency and professionalism to his otherwise sometimes

disarmingly natural delivery.

Acknowledging the need for optimal flexibility with today’s fast-paced media schedules and so as to best serve his

international clients, he operates a well-equipped home studio from where he sends dry recordings via the Internet in

a format and turnaround time to suit requirements.

 

Where working with Video to today's highest standards is involved, Andrew also enjoys easy access to the major studios

and their recording facilities due to collaboration going back many years and can record directly to you “down the line” via

ISDN in a partner studio a few minutes away from his own: 

 

- recent "down the line" clients have included The Hive Studios in California, USA and Mandarin Film in Beijing, China.
